Allen's A-Team Blog claims that only two newspapers, the Washington Post and the Virginian Pilot, have endorsed Webb. This, of course, is not at all true.
Here's their post:

Just to educate them on the subject, here's a list of all the newspapers that have endorsed Jim Webb over George Allen for the United States Senate.
The Washington Post
The Virginian-Pilot
The Richmond Free Press
The Roanoke Times
The Martinsville Bulletin
The Fairfax Chronicle
The Daily Press
The Alexandria Times
The Potomac News
University of Virginia's Cavalier Daily
The Connection Newspapers
Loudoun Times Mirror
Gloucester-Matthews Gazette Journal
As you can see, it's quite an impressive list. There are actually more endorsements for Webb from Newspapers than for Allen. Nice try, A-Team!

Sorry, I couldn't resist. :)
I'm gonna kill Ben (DanG - 11/1/2006 4:43:17 PM)
These are the same people who (Eric - 11/1/2006 4:50:07 PM)
think that...
Allen was the victim of the macaca incident
Book writers advocate the actions they write about
Allen was assaulted yesterday
Webb hates women because was part of a serious discussion about women's role in combat
Allen was part of an anti-Semitic smear campaign conducted by jewish bloggers
That we're winning the war in Iraq and safer because of it
...and on and on and on.
Dan, thanks for setting the record straight for those of us who actually are grounded in reality.
Also The Potomac News (Barbara - 11/1/2006 4:55:58 PM)
(Prince William County; today's edition.) Very strong endorsement. Unfortunately not available online--at least not that I can find. Pls. see my remarks from earlier today if interested in a summary. Thanks.
I'll look for that (DanG - 11/1/2006 5:12:23 PM)
Thanks for the info. I'll try to find that!
If the A Team Was Reporting the Stark Incident (PM - 11/1/2006 5:21:57 PM)
it'd read something like:
The assailant, using a plate glass window to provide leverage for his expected attack . . .
It doesn't matter, the A-Team will lie and justfy the lie as always (Used2Bneutral - 11/1/2006 5:23:08 PM)
they can't tell the truth with honor and credibility.... anything goes in love or politics...... well after two wives myself, I know that ain't true.... at least I got the kids and the houses because I didn't lie.....
Ignore them! (Rebecca - 11/1/2006 6:09:45 PM)
The fact is that, where reality is concerned, there is a fine line between humor and tragedy. Kerry's statements may have been humorous, but the truth is they describe the tragedy of the current situation with regard to our troops. That tragedy was and is caused by the Bush administration policies.
the a team lies (pvogel - 11/1/2006 6:39:56 PM)
big surprise!!!!
Under the rules of jurisprudence, once theyve lied, and it is proved they lied, you are free not to believe anything the dammned liars say again.
so George allen, I will be at interstate van lines sat morning with a huge banner saying George allen, LIAR
