Bush Is Surrendering Control of the US Military To A Foreign Leader. Despicable.

In light of the recent attacks on Senator John Kerry, I believe that it would only be appropriate for us to take a page out of the Republican's playbook.  Accuse your opponent of wanting to surrender our military's command and control to foreign powers!

Anyone remember all the hoopla in '04 about this?

But this time this would not be a slight of hand or distortion, because this is exactly what the Bush administration is up to in Iraq!
As many of you know yesterday US forces were employing blockades in Sadar city in an attempt to rescue one their own who had been kidnapped.  This evidently did not sit well with the Iraq government (which has basically been taking over by Sadar loyalists). So the government of Nuri Kamal al-Maliki ordered, let me say that again for emphasize, ORDERED a halt to the blockade operation.

So, now the military creed of leave no man behind is being thrown out the door, because the Bush Administration is willing to cave to Maliki.

This is truly disturbing and it is truly disgusting.

The United States Government should never leave one of its own behind, and it should never surrender command and control of its military forces to a foreign leader.

Again, this should be our talking points:

US solders trying to rescue one of their own, is ordered by a foreign leader to stop the operation.

BUSH IS SURRENDERING COMAND AND CONTROL OF THE UNITED STATES MILITARY TO A FOREIGN LEADER.  DESPICABLE.

The Republicans are concerned about Kerry apologizing for a blown punch line and the Bush administration is giving away authority over our troops to a foreign leader.  Way to go, Bush.
