George Allen worked on a dude ranch during the 1970s. IGÇÖve been doing a lot of Vietnam era tribute pictures for Jim Webb. I thought the least I could do is try to reconstruct what 70GÇÖs life was like for George. The closest ranch I could find to Winnemucca is one in Gerlach, NV. See http://www.soldierme... and

Again, I donGÇÖt know for sure whether this was GeorgeGÇÖs ranch, but Winnemucca seems to be the nearest town. Actually, some in the state are far more opulent, more like spas, and those near Reno used to cater to the rich seeking quickie Nevada divorces.
