FOXGÇÖs Col. Hunt endorses Jim Webb over George AllenBy: John Amato
In a twist that left Sean Hannity almost speechless on H&C Friday night, FOX News military analyst Col. Hunt said that he preferred Jim Webb over George Allen in the Virgina race because he's a battle tested military man and Allen is just a football player.
Hunt: He's a Marine combat hero.
Sean was left pouting by Hunt's endorsement

Yes, Sanity is returning! (TurnVirginiaBlue - 10/30/2006 5:36:27 PM)That's great! I have been waiting for people to stop blindly supporting these Corpocrats simply because they have the label "GOP".That's a good sign the bi-partisan insanity is breaking and we might get some policy crafted that is in the best interests of the nation!
Very, very encouraging!

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha......Take that, you scurvy little smirk-mongering twerp! Poor Sean looks like someone just wiped the smirk right off his face ... oh wait a minute, they did.
Thanks, Lowell (Catzmaw - 10/30/2006 5:59:32 PM)I got a little rambunctious there.Yeah, but that's a software glitch... (Lowell - 10/30/2006 6:47:22 PM)...that needs to be fixed. What's Up (sndeak - 10/30/2006 6:01:00 PM)with the squids applauding when Hannity says he is supporting Allen and he has been a good Senator?I'm ashamed my fellow sailors are so uninformed.
Well, they were there to see Hannity... (Loudoun County Dem - 10/30/2006 6:14:06 PM)...and the cognitive U-turn required would have been a hard maneuver to pull off...they probably were filtered at the door (Used2Bneutral - 10/30/2006 6:17:09 PM)It's normal for them to make sure the audience is appropriately stacked with Hanity fans=RepublicansAre we going to see this on Youtube (Catzmaw - 10/30/2006 6:35:59 PM)for some reason I cannot get it to run on my Yahoo account. It keeps telling me it's private and I don't have access. Here's a link (thegools - 10/30/2006 8:08:38 PM)http://movies.crooks...Made My Day (b crowe - 10/30/2006 9:51:30 PM)This is very encouraging, not just because the voice of reason was heard on Hannity for a change, but because the Col's reasoning is exactly the thinking that has been missing in our leadership since this fiasco began. Those with military know-how are needed to lead us in this case. The Administration has not been listening to our military experts, despite their lies to the contrary. The Republicans believe they have the military in their pocket. They are learning that what this country has is a military that is loyal to its civilian leadership and is yearning for competent strong leadership that is based on experience and a realistic world view. Honor, duty, country are the principles the military lives by. Hannity constantly shows that he and his Republicans have long forgotten these principles.Another conservative accolade + some "poll" news (PM - 10/31/2006 11:35:01 AM)From Brendan Conway, writing for the ultra-conservative American Spectator at the time of the June primary: http://www.spectator...
Of course, Webb's sheer appeal might explain things. Webb is not just a war hero but a demigod to several servicemen I know. He authored Fields of Fire, an acclaimed best-selling fictionalization of his Marine service in Vietnam. An estranged Republican, he resigned as Ronald Reagan's Secretary of the Navy in 1988 to protest budget cuts and grew progressively unhappier with Republicans until turning to Democrats this year. He is an unimpeachable military man who happens to share the Democrats' disdain for Bush and anger over the Iraq war.I wondered why I had not seen any trashing of Webb on that site. (I could have missed some.)
And a Daily Kos diarist notes that Tradesports, the gambling site, now has Webb favored: http://www.dailykos....
Webb was there
