There's More Wrong With Georges Allen & Bush than Iraq

With so much attention focused on Bush/Allen's misleading America into Iraq and then mishandling Iraq once we arrived, one should not lose sight of the rest of the problems created by during the Bush-Allen years of misleadership. A short list of not-to-be-forgotten disasters includes:
> Corruption. We seen corruption in the Administration (policies and contracts for politcal contributions), the Congress (e.g., Cunningham, Delay, the Foley coverup, the K Street Project), Haliburton and others getting grossly over paid in Iraq, and the dirty hands of Abramov, Mehmlman, Reed and Nordquist throughout.
> Deficits. Spending has grown as revenues have been cut (to give tax breaks to the wealthy). The result, as outlined previously, has been a balooning natiional debt to be dumped on our children.
> Decline of our Moral Leadership. Torture, secret prisons, arrogance, and bullying have badly weakened our moral leadership.
> Decline of our political leadership in the world. A serious problem resulting from the Iraq invasion, torture, bullying, arrogance and stupidity.
> Violations of the separation of church and State. The critical distinction between church and state so critical to the Founding Fathers, including Thomas Jefferson, has been badly eroded as Bush, et al have tried to build a religiously-based political machine, complete with government funding for religious groups' "charitable" activities.
> Government incompetence. The war in Iraq and the response to Katrina are the most obvious examples. Republicans disrespect government and stuff it with political appointees who demonstrate loyalty, but no competence. They don't care. We should.
> Government secrecy. Years of moving toward a more open government have been reversed by incredible layers of secrecy. Documents that have been available for decades have been reclassified. Getting information from the Administration has required leaks, because secrecy is part of the Republican machine.
So, thanks Georges Allen and Bush. It's time for a change.
