HOW TO WIN THE SIGN WARS
Attention Webb supporters--When the Webb sign is stolen don't just sit down and whine. MAKE A HOME MADE SIGN SAYING...THEY STOLE MY JIM WEBB SIGN.
This will get the proper attention and expose the opposition for what they are. RICH AND CROOKED....
Personally, I think I would make my "home-made" sign bigger than the original....

I was talking to a guy this morning who was going around putting up real estate signs. He told me VDOT just finished doing the last mowing for the year and many signs were pulled and thrown away. I noticed a lot of Allen signs are missing. So if the area was recently mowed, it might not have been "them."
On the other hand, go forth and take advantage of the wide opeings in the medians.
How about a sign design contest? (Andrea Chamblee - 10/15/2006 5:23:43 PM)
A sign that can be printed out right here from RK?
The dockey kicking logo right beneath this diary would be a good one to steal.

I believe they make chemicals used by public works organizations to discourage people to cut down or steal trees that are public property. The chemicals may be disgustingly sticky, stinky or leave a permanent ink residue on the hands of any culprit. How can we get some of this stuff for our own personal use? I have also thought of smearing the sign with poison ivy and warning potential vandels of that fact with a small yellow sticky strategically placed. Or leave the sticky even though there is no poison ivy.
Just a few thoughts...

Report all stolen signs to the cops and require them to file a report. (thegools - 10/15/2006 8:47:16 PM)
That way there is a record of the crimes.
