Grassroots Handouts

Sadly, many voters don't pay much attention to politics.  And with only a few weeks before the election, we all need to do everything we can to get the Democratic message to those voters.  Pro Democratic or anti Republican, we need to help let voters know why they should be voting Democratic this year.

For this effort we've put together a few fliers that anyone can hand out.  We will add more, and if you have any fliers, or any ideas for fliers, please post them here.

All you need to do is download the pdf, print out copies, and find a place to hand them out.

Distribute at any place you are allowed.  Be sure to ask if you're not sure.  At pro-Democratic booths (fairs, festivals, the guns shows, etc), at commuting centers (metro or bus stops), at events (kids soccer games), or leave a stack in local stores.  There's no limit - be creative and get the word out.

If you pay for copies, or have them professionally printed, please notify the Webb campaign of the amount as an in-kind contribution.

Remember - grassroots played a big role in getting Jim Webb to where he is today.  We have one month to finish the job and help get him to the Senate.

Had Enough?
These two are almost identical so they should really count as one.  Just minor differences in wording.

wow.. (drmontoya - 10/8/2006 6:46:08 PM)
these are great eric.

thanks!

Great Ad, but add Bug or In-House Notice (Thomas Paine - 10/8/2006 7:18:09 PM)
Great ad.  It is hard-hitting and concise.

If someone pays to print them, that needs to be included in the authorization line along with the Arlington County chair's name.  "Paid for by Bill Blogger.  Authorized by Peter Rousellot, etc."

If it is printed professionally, it should have a union bug.  If it is printed off your own printer at home, it should say "printed with in-house labor"

Just do it! (Arturo - 10/8/2006 9:03:56 PM)
It will not be printed professionally.

Get these out at Metro stops (Teddy - 10/8/2006 9:14:04 PM)
Great stuff; Todd, ready to do Metro-stop trolling again?
Now, Eric, we need another simple Webb is pro-women flyer--- especially for young professional women who need to know Webb is pro-choice, pro-women and Allen is not, Allen voted against family leave, etc.

A lot of people are just making their own signs (Rebecca - 10/8/2006 10:36:34 PM)
I know some people who are making signs and stickers which say simply:

Had enough...
Vote Democratic

Also, we need to get the Webb signs out at the major intersections.

Arlington is now covered with Webb signs (Lowell - 10/9/2006 7:56:39 AM)
Very nice to see...

We need Webb signs in Fairfax (Rebecca - 10/9/2006 9:53:01 AM)
We need more Webb signs along route 50 in Fairfax. The "Had enough, vote Democratic" signs are already there.

Bobby Scott (Newport News Dem - 10/9/2006 8:12:51 AM)
Are you able to put the Bobby Scott/Jim Webb picture form the post below on the Peninsula JJ to anchor the other side of the Webb/Obama Picture?

This would be great in the 3rd CD, especially for a canvass in Newport News????????????????????

I'll leave that to techies like my friend Eric (Lowell - 10/9/2006 8:32:50 AM)
Thanks Eric!!! :)

We can do customization (Eric - 10/9/2006 9:29:08 AM)
but obviously there will be limits.

We can trade the Obama photo for a Scott photo or just add the Scott photo.  Same with other House races.

We can also customize the issues - so if certain things are higher priority regionally we can hit those instead of all the same issues.

Add to this thread and we'll address as many as we reasonably can.

I like the idea (Newport News Dem - 10/9/2006 11:12:32 AM)
of adding the Webb/Scott picture in the lower right next to the "Vote Jim Webb"

Obama/Webb pix - Vote Jim Webb - Scott/Webb pix

This would be great for a blanket canvass in my Newport News precincts with high African American demographics.

If I have access to Adobe professional, do we have permission to make the changes here?

Feel free to make (Eric - 10/9/2006 11:25:46 AM)
changes to the PDF's for your own use.

The originals were done in Adobe Photoshop and I can make those available if you're interested.  If you have the software that is the best way to make changes.
