"Senator" Allen on Iraq from "Meet the Press" on 9.17.2006:

"This is a central battle front in the war on terror, and it's not just the President or the Vice President or me saying that, that's what al-Qaeda says[.]"
You want to know what al Qaeda says about the Iraq War, "Senator"?
An excerpt from a letter written by a man "thought to be a senior Al Qaeda leader whose full name [is] Atiyah Abd al-Rahman", and "recovered in the rubble of the Iraqi house where Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, former leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq, was killed by a US bomb in June." [Emphasis mine]:
"The most important thing is that the jihad continues with steadfastness ... indeed, prolonging the war is in our interest."
Both George Allen and al Qaeda want the Iraq War to continue. The difference is (as was shown in the recent NIE) the war is GOOD for them and BAD for us!

By continuing with the "stay the course" non-strategy, we are giving the terrorists what they want: the best recruiting tool they have ever had. We have created a terrorist generating machine that is fueled by the bodies of American service personnel and Iraqi civilians. We need to deprive them of their fuel.

Checkout the side-by-side comparison of Jim Webb v. George Allen on Iraq. Decide for yourself who does and does not have a plan. Decide for yourself who would give the terrorists what they want in Iraq and who would shut down their main recruiting office.

2737 deaths, 20,468 wounded.

Had enough?
