Hardball: Yet ANOTHER Witness to Allen Using the "N Word"

Just a few minutes ago on Hardball, yet ANOTHER witness to George Allen using the "n" word stepped forward. The woman, Patricia Waring, 75, of Chesterton, Maryland, is the wife of Allen's former rugby coach. Mrs. Waring recounted how, at a rugby practice, she heard George Allen using the "n word" loudly in front of a lot of people. Mrs. Waring said she had walked up to Allen and asked him not to use that word, and that Allen had "in essence told me to buzz off." Mrs. Waring asked someone who the young man was, and they said "George Allen." She said something to the effect of, "you mean the son of the football coach?" The answer was "yes," and she said she "was just crestfallen."

According to Hardball, Dick Wadhams said that this woman is not telling the truth (e.g., she's lying, according to Wadhams) and Allen "wouldn't respond."

P.P.S Mrs. Waring added, "I just didn't think in the late 70's people would be so ugly and so overt about it and so public."

Did you all see Ed Gillespie yesterday trying to claim, with a straight face, that Allen just "made up the word" when he insulted SR Sidarth? And did you see how Chris Matthews just looked at Gillespie like he was totally full of it and couldn't believe he had the gall to lie right to Matthews' face on national TV. Hilarious.

Something along the lines of remembering detail when recounting stories, and the woman distinctly remembered the "red rugby shoes." In legal cases, people always side with the folks who can retain a lot of details and specifics. EVERY ONE OF THE STORIES AGAINST ALLEN IS FILLED WITH DETAILS.

and not just 1 segment per show, multiple ones, and he keeps bringing on rethugs just to watch them squirm.

here's my take on what Matthews is doing now.

For all Matthews is, he does not like the Iraq war, he doesn't like that we were lied into it, how it's been managed, the lies and deception coming out of the mouths of the Bush admin about it -- he knows that Allen supports Bush 100% on Iraq -- I think he's pushing this issue to help get Allen out so we can have people in that really know how to deal with Iraq, i.e., Jim Webb.

it's subtle but it's there.

Also, regarding macaca and 'N' and the lying -- to me, it's not that he called Sirdath macaca or that he probably used 'n' before or that he's lying about it now -- it's that -- he called Sidarth a name PERIOD!

He had no respect whatsoever for Sidarth, he didn't address his 'welcome to the real america, the real va' to Jim Webb -- which is who he was addressing before the macaca comment -- i.e., Allen was talking about Webb being in Hollywood right before the macaca comment -- he didn't say: let's welcome JIM WEBB to the real va (i.e., not hollywood) but to Sidarth -- that is the real injustice!

And that is what needs to get out there -- he personally attacked NOT webb, but webb's volunteer.

would he have called ME -- the whitest white chick you could ever see -- pale skin, freckles, blue eyes -- macaca -- probably not -- would he have called me another name -- probably!

What would a 75 year old woman have to gain by making up a story about Allen? She is entirely credible right down to remembering the red rugby shoes. This incident was obviously embedded in her memory. I guess when she realized that Allen might make a bid for presidency in 2008 she could not remain quiet anymore. The fact that she has witnesses that confirm that she had talked about this incident for years makes it even more credible. What is the most unforgivable is that Allen continues to LIE when he's been confronted about this over and over again.
His calling someone a Macaca is on a live video. He even lies over that and says he didn't know what the word meant.
I hope and pray the average Virginian can see through this charade and see George Allen for what he really is. This is
the REAL GEORGE ALLEN.

...When the one guest (I think it was Craig Crawford) tried to tally the number of did/didn'ts Matthews cut him off with 'there's more coming' which means that MSNBC (and most likely the other non faux news divisions) are following up and confirming others who have come forward with Allen Slur/Bullying testimonials just as they researched the veracity of this lady's story before they brought it to air.

Also, when Larry Sabato told Matthews that he wasn't going to go into details 'on your show' it seemed to me that he was preparing to go public with more info in another venue (article?).

Did anyone else noticed on that video of Allen denying using the N-word in Richmond, how when Allen was denying it that:

#1 The expressions seemed extremely contrived

#2 He basically blinked NON-STOP while denying?

Lying is such a staple of the Repub Repertoire now, it's not going to shock anyone into changing their vote. Racism, OTOH, might (not our B-american's, of course, but then I never believed the persona he created for himself here)

Ick. "Everybody uses their own elbow to measure things", as the Polish saying goes. It did bother me a bit that my beloved was a red-head; I was afraid our children could be also, and, in Poland, red hair is associated with Judas and therefore considered ugly. Skin colour, OTOH, has no such connotations. Thinking of my son's (turned out pure blonde, thankfully )intended, I'm more worried about her age (older than he is and he's no spring chicken) and her risky (circus aerialist) job, than about her skin colour (unacceptable to Allen, apparently. Thankfully, they're in San Francisco and beyond Allen's kind of crap).
