He did arrive around 2 PM for a visit to historic downtown Lynchburg and had a haircut at the 9th Street Parlor ( a man spa....amazing!)It has become a frequent spot for politicians to visit and 'Chopper' is collecting quite a few photos of politicos.
At the luncheon our Lynchburg Chair spoke about the importance of supporting Webb and Shannon Valentine ( 23rd Hose of Delegates ) spoke as well. The events committee made a plea for people to attend our event at Cattle Annie's October 8 ( 3-7 PM). Brian Moran is a host along with our wonderful Shannon Valentine.
Since Jim couldn't make it in time to our luncheon please, everyone, make a plea to him and his staff to come to our fundraiser and rally on October 8!
Today one of our hardest working LDC members, Alison Chadbourne, mentioned that Tom Oliphant discussed the Senate race and the 'changing' Virgina on Al Franken's radio show. He mentioned Northern Virginia and the exurbs of Loudon County and then he said " Even Lynchburg is turning blue!". She said she was so mad no one was at home with whom to share her excitement over the pronouncement by Oliphant!
PLEASE.... JIM WEBB.... come back to Lynchburg on Oct. 8... 3- 7 PM for our rally at Cattle Annie's!! It will be fun and it allows us to keep our headquarters open every day, 7 days a week all year long!
I am going to try to come to the Cattle Annie's event and will tell everyone in our Dems group.
Anyway, I am heading down there myself in a very few minutes.
Take care, Martha. Say hi to everyone.
