Tom Davis Compared Himself to Jesus

If you were at the debate last Tuesday you would know that while in the process of trying to attack Andy Hurst, Tom Davis compared himself to Jesus. Davis claimed that if he were to WALK ACROSS THE POTOMAC, Andy would exclaim that Davis canGÇÖt swim.

I think there was a complete moment ofGǪ..wait, did Davis just compare himself to Jesus. Is this really the same man that has questionable relationships with lobbyists and doesnGÇÖt keep his campaign promises? Well, yes he did and yes it is.

So that got me thinking, what would actually happen if Davis could walk on water? Below the flap are some of the answers I came up with. Obviously, they are just a few of the things that might happen. Does anyone have another idea?

EVERYONE would say Davis canGÇÖt swim.

People would be impressed, but would wonder which lobbyist paid the water to keep him afloat.

Even more lobbyists and PACS would want to donate to his campaign.

ThereGÇÖd be no more corruption because the Chairman of the House Committee on Government Reform would have characteristics similar to Jesus.

Davis would start a church and require it to pay for his campaign. (He already does that in regards to the taxpayers)

Everyone would think it was a magic trick.

Very funny (demnan - 9/21/2006 4:40:25 PM)
Sorry I missed the debate.  Since George Allen when backed into a corner starts saying "I'm from a football family," perhaps Davis can say, "I'm from a lobbyist family," when he gets backed in a corner.

Wait a minute here... (joestanley - 9/21/2006 7:52:20 PM)
I am not a Davis fan, i don't even live in the district.

But thats hardly a comparison to Jesus. What you should be bashing him for is stealing from LBJ. LBJ used that quote thirty years ago!

It's nice to see that when a Republican cannot defend themselves, they steal from a Democrat.

great pickup... (littlepunk - 9/21/2006 8:00:39 PM)
