But it is gone today.
The AllenHQ post tries to make the claim that the WaPo is contradicting itself because (follow me now) an editorial (i.e opinion piece) says: [Emphasis by AllenHQ]
Neither [the Allen campaign nor Nancy Reagan+óGé¼Gäós] protest has merit. +óGé¼-ªAs for Mr. Allen, his campaign complains that the clip misleadingly implies the former president+óGé¼Gäós support for Mr. Webb+óGé¼Gäós candidacy.and an article (i.e news being reported) says: [Emphasis by AllenHQ]
in their own article on the Webb ad, wrote that the ad "serves almost as a posthumous endorsement from Reagan"My comment pointed out that editorial and news departments are kept separated as a journalistic rule and, as such, assertions from each entity need not conform to one another. (I also pointed out that I could understand their confusion since FOX News has completely done away with that partition.) I find it more disturbing that the author of the news article seems to give his opinion of the Reagan ad.
I guess my incredibly simple argument was too powerful for the Allen Team and they deleted my post.
Pretty sad.
PS: The AllenHQ post was linked to with much praise by the A-Team, which has had some sketchy comment deletion questions raised as well. So much for Allen "listening" to Virginians.
It was probably your assertion that they were "confused" that got the comment killed. The A Team also doesn't like such nasty name calling (just ask Ben about the dirty word "hypocrisy") so this is probably just more of the same.
