Allen: Women "should not be in foxholes"

While noting that various media outlets dropped the ball in reporting on Allen's swiftboat-like attack on an article Webb's wrote decades ago, the watchdog group, Media Matters for America, found some amazing quotes from Allen on women in combat.  Here's the worst one:

Women "should not be in foxholes," Allen said. "The purpose of the armed services is not to be a social experiment."

George Allen has really opened a can of worms here for himself, hasn't he?

they know how to dig out media bias. I recommend everyone click on and check out sometime. www.mediamatters.com. Good quote Rob--I am crossing my fingers that Webb doesn't fall for any of Allen's tricks tomorrow, because, and I might be wrong, Allen is starting to get desperate cause he knows his time as the phantom Grand Wizard is coming to an end.
