She can afford to go to the hoedown. She grew up in Glastonbury CT, one of the richest places in America.
Here's what wikipedia says about her hometown: http://en.wikipedia....
Glastonbury is the wealthiest town east of the Connecticut River (in terms of median household income) in the state of Connecticut.*** As of the census of 2000, there were 31,876 people, 12,257 households, and 8,984 families residing in the town. *** The racial makeup of the town was 93.10% White, 1.53% African American, 0.15% Native American, 3.40% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.91% from other races, and 0.89% from two or more races.
Yeah, a real hoedown type of place.
I talked to a friend of mine two nights ago who grew up near Palos Verdes, where the Allen family moved to in 1966. (She says her family lived on the poor side of town.) But she KNEW the Allen house, and said it was really ritzy, really stood out.
BTW, do you think George will show off his French speaking at the hoedown?
Now, I know blackamerican is going to come in and call me lilly white, but this is worth it.
Whoops. Can't say that. It's French.
Jolly well put.
