8:00pm Candlelit Mall Walk to Free Expression Monument
Join Mayor David Brown, members of City Council and the rest of the community for a free concert of diverse music to promote peace through mutual respect, understanding and cooperation - one individual, one community at a time. The September Concert is a series of free musical performances held in cities around the world on September 11th every year. This year the event hopes to be the largest free concert event ever offered across the world. The concert offers a way for Charlottesville to commemorate 9/11 and focus on bringing our community together, reaffirming our hope for world peace and celebrating life and universal humanity. Seating will be available and the event will be held rain or shine.
