1. NLS is not 99.7% accurate... He just isn't. Maybe 50% accurate, thats a joke that he has said so many times that he now believes it. Below are his predictions and what the actual results were.

2. Ben's attempts to find primary challengers for the dozens of elected Democrats who shunned him after his endorsement of Michael Golden has failed miserably and just caused him to be further distanced from the party.
3. His attacks on Gerry Connolly go beyond ANY definition of civility and make it appear like he's not right in the head... Gerry Connolly is a great Democrat and a great Chairman of the Fairfax County Board.
4. He's seen a joke; but when he started personally attacking people it became simply unacceptable.
Not Larry Sabato is a joke and should always be taken with a grain of salt. Its is blogs like NLS that give us a bad name.
When Ben started 'threatening' to make shit up about Al Weed and keep it up until the election, I stopped reading him. His bread and circuses act is very stale, and his manipulation of even his own readers is beyond the pale.
It goes to show if you make a big enough ass of yourself, at least some people will look at you and pay attention. That is what he is all about, attention.
It sure as hell ain't due to content; or his soothsaying prowess.
Once in a while, he'll have a hit; very rare; usually I leave a post to rebut what he's said.
Is any of what I said about you?
James... are you trolling for Jeff Shapiro?
Buzz.....
An email tip I just received tells me that Andy Hurst for Congress has a facebook site up where they call incumbent Tom Davis a "douchebag". How undignified.I hope this isn't true. I'm looking into it now...
UPDATE: Comments say Andy was not responsible for this. I hope something will be done to make that more clear.
Yeah, that was my facebook group and it had two disclaimers that it was a volunteer page, and in no way tied to the campaign. Here is exactly what was written
This group is a volunteer based group to get Andy Hurst (D) elected to Congress from the 11th district of Virginia.Andy is going against Tom Davis (R) the Douchebag Congressman who subpoenaed Terri Schaivo. He is also a liar, for example: was quoted in the press as saying "I have never taken a nickel from Oil Companies" when in fact he has taken $117,000+ from them.
Let's not also forget, that he is a rubberstamper for Bush having voted with him, 89% of the time.
*This communication is not paid for or authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee*
How that is not clear, is still not known to me.
Oh yeah, Remember in 2005 Tribbett kept saying "Marsden is attacking Michael Golden's family" he has still to explain his statement.
Ben, I know your reading this, please tell us what you meant and how exactly Marsden was attacking Golden's family.
I suspect his blog--and many for that matter--are very much in line with the scandal sheets that were once standard in early American politics.
I think Virginia Centrist's description of NLS is very apt: "Hurtful gossip and personal attacks intermixed with intelligent analysis. Has the power to bring dead policitians back to life with the stroke of his delete key."
I don't get the sense that NLS has the temperment to be inside the political arena--I see him being very much like Alan Lichtman yesterday--getting carted away in a police car outside the Maryland Democratic Senate debate. It's clear though that he is passionate about politics and knows more than he probably should. I'd be a little hesitant to entrust him with the well-being of my county, but, as far as politics are concerned, I wouldn't disregard his opinions out of hand ever.
Btw, James--I second Lowell's comments concerning Keggers and freshman year parties.
Plus Not Ted Stevens does not post here, nor Not Pam Anderson, etc. and I need my weekly shots of their cranky humor.
Peace.
