According to an e-mail I received from Judy Feder the Democratic Congressional candidate in the 10th district, the donations continue to roll in for Feder's campaign against Frank Wolf "in sheep's clothing." According to the e-mail:
In June, we asked you to contribute $60,000 online, and you donated over $100,000. Earlier this week, you helped us meet our online goal for August, $70,000, three days early. I can't thank you enough.
Now, Feder is asking for help in raising another $10,000 by Labor Day. I urge everyone to help her reach this goal.
Why does Frank Wolf need to be defeated? How about his ZERO rating - according to Project Vote Smart - on a woman's right to choose? His pitiful 25% rating from the National Education Association? His ZERO from rating the American Wilderness Coalition? His horrible 11% rating from the Children's Defense Fund? His votes to give huge tax breaks to the oil industry while voting AGAINST against granting a bonus to grant a $1,500 bonus to every American service member serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, including National Guard and Reserve forces? His opposition to increased embryonic stem cell research? His support for continued contracts the Halliburton, despite strong evidence of huge overcharges by Dick Cheney's former company?
There's more, but if that's not enough for the voters of the 10th district to replace Frank Wolf with a smart lady like Judy Feder, then I don't know what else to say. Luckily, it looks like Feder has a chance; now she just needs your support. Thanks.
