I have rarely read something that turned my stomach so thoroughly as did that hate filled screed from Earl Holt linked above. The only wish I can make for that angry and revolting speciemen of Homo Horribilus (there's no Sapiens in his DNA) is that reincarnation is true and he comes back as both a woman and black. Maybe then he would learn that we are all human under the minor coloration differences of our epidermis. If you cut us, do we not bleed?

Without going into the obvious about the white supremacists, I have a few thoughts on the matter:
1. This thing really struck a nerve with Kos. He's had three front page postings on the matter in less than 24 hours.
2. I had the same thought (as DanG and probably many others) that Allen isn't going to address this unless he has to. Why bring attention to it.
3. In terms of bringing attention to it - the real question would be if there is any stronger evidence to tie Allen to the CCC. The photo is good, but as pointed out by a number of people on NLS, it's not that strong. Allen and Heston could have been posing for many pics with many people. There very well may be more to it, but if this is to really catch on there needs to be more of a tie in. Or at least more ties - one pic may not be enough but a number of smaller things would be damning.

I understand standing by your candidate, but this is really reprehensible. I would expect more from citizens in this day and age, whether they are Republican or Democrat.
They just can't make enough excuses fast enough. This is a case where the (R) candidate is circling the drain, and his supporters are saying, "But, but, but..."

If my memory serves me, the poll in June was Allen 46-Webb 37, the next one was Allen 46-Webb 42, this last one was Allen 46-Webb 47. Notice the 46 has not changed. Maybe at one point it was 47 but not any higher. Webb seems to have picked up the good think people, but some people pick a candidate and stick with them thru anything. Just how much abuse/shame/racism will these people stand for before they wake up?
