As Always, Cross Posted to the Fairfax County Young Democrats Blog
Join me and other activists Saturday September 2nd (10:00 AM) at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax Virginia for an Organizing Rally bringing together the Andrew Hurst, Jim Webb, Judy Feder and the Jim Moran campaigns. Immediately after the rally, Team Hurst will canvass the very precinct in which Robinson Secondary School sits (Robinson Precinct).
If you support Hurst, Webb, Feder or Moran it is essential that you come out, meet the candidates, learn what the plan to win in November is, then hit the streets and win some votes for Hurst and Webb in the 11th District.
Alas, I+óGé¼Gäóm not sure what the plan is for this event. In 2004 the Kerry campaign held an Organizing Rally with 3000 activists to energize the base. In 2005, Dave Marsden held two Organizing Conventions in which about 150 activists at each event came in and the campaign planned a mini-field program for each precinct (as a side note, John Kerry called into the second Organizing Convention). I imagine that this will be somewhat in between the two. All I know is that I will be knocking on doors after the rally. We+óGé¼Gäóll see what the campaigns have in store for us, perhaps we+óGé¼Gäóll get details in the coming days.
If you+óGé¼Gäóre a Webb supporter, I want to mention that the Hurst campaign and the Webb campaign now have a coordinated field program and that Hurst is ID+óGé¼Gäóing of supporters in the 11th for both himself and Webb, so come out and create some synergy.
See you all there.

[UPDATE] Aug 29 @ 7:45PM. It seems that some details are coming out about the rally. Gerry Connolly is going to be speaking (along with the four candidates) and is also on a Robo Call urging people to come out and attend.
I'm also hearing that the other campaigns are following Hurst's example and are organizing canvasses immediately following the rally, should be a great time. Thousands of doors knocked all over the County the weekend before Labor Day, I'm excited!!
PS: I'm walking too, after the rally.
Here's the link to CONTRIBUTE $11 or $1100, or anything in between.
GO ANDY HURST!!!
