NLS "Never Laughed So Much" - at Virgil Goode!!

Ben Tribbett over at Not Larry Sabato is right; this is truly hilarious.  According to Ben/NLS, quoting the Daily Press story:

"The Republican said he had "never heard somebody so uninformed as Mr. Weed was in his comments about [MZM and Martinsville]. He said I got nearly $100,000 in illegal contributions. Not so. It was about $46,000..."

I have never laughed so much at a newspaper quote.

My thoughts?  Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.  Is Virgil Goode the DUMBEST Congressman ever, is he hopelessly naive, or is he just completely confused about ethics and legality?  Perhaps "all of the above?"

Another great line by Virgil Goode, by the way, is where he makes clear how LITTLE money he managed to get for his friend, convicted felon and MZM founder Mitchell Wade.  No, it wasn't $15 million for which Virgil "MZM" Goode sold his soul, it was  "$1 million or a million-and-a-half," according to Congressman Bad...er, Goode.  Hahahaha. But Goode's not sure.  See, that $1-$1.5 million is just "a guesstimate."  Nice to see that the 5-term Congressman is so on top of things.  Does Virgil Goode have his act together or WHAT?!?  Bwahahahahahahaha.

Hey, but all is not lost.  (snark alert!) Goode scored a big point by poking fun at Al Weed's name, comparing it a certain substance you might have inhaled (or not) back in college.  Good one, Goode!  You are SOOOO clever!  Just not clever enough to know when you're being bribed.  Hilarious, eh?

What will become of Virginia's 5th Congressional District's efforts to regain economic growth if Virgil Goode is indicted in the coming year?  Currently Danville has the highest unemployment in the state, and is the only metro region in the state with negative job growth.

How much time will Rep. Goode have to devote to helping his constituents if he is fending off Undersecretary of Defense Cambone's "ongoing investigation" into the MZM illegalities?
