Of course not!
What Davis wants to do is be fair to the skeptics by making sure there is no "bias" towards them. And why wouldn't he? The skeptics include those hired by the coal industry, the oil and gas industry, the auto industry, all of whom are major contributors to Republican campaigns.
Check this out:
On July 20, the House Committee on Government Reform held a full Committee hearing on climate change entitled, +óGé¼+ôClimate Change: Understanding the Degree of the Problem.+óGé¼-¥ In his opening statement, Chairman Tom Davis (R-VA) said "It is our job to ask whether we+óGé¼Gäóre responding appropriately where there is scientific consensus [on climate change], and whether we+óGé¼Gäóre facilitating the research and ensuring an unbiased review where there is not."
Unbiased? How has the Republican-controlled Congress been unbiased? Republican Oklahoma Senator James Inhofe says that climate change is a +óGé¼+ôhoax+óGé¼-¥. Now Tom Davis wants to protect this line of reasoning? Tom Davis is not really interested in fairness. Tom Davis is not willing to let the American people know the truth. Tom Davis is not willing to do something about climate change. Tom Davis is the one who is biased. Maybe he won't take climate change seriously until someone cuts him a check.
If we want an +óGé¼+ôunbiased+óGé¼-¥ review immediately, we must replace Tom Davis with Andrew Hurst.
