George Allen: 67th Most Popular Senator!

Hey Sen. Allen, don't get too excited and fall off your horse or anything like that, but according to the latest SurveyUSA poll, you are the 67th (out of 100) most popular U.S. Senator in the United States!  As PhriendlyJaime would say, "can I get a wooooo-hoooo?" :)

Seriously, though, how are you going to celebrate your whopping 51% approval rate here in Virginia?  Perhaps Virginia's senior Senator, John Warner (ranked #29, with a 58% positive rating), might take you out for a beer - Coors, perhaps, given how conservative that family is? - to celebrate?  Or perhaps you could meet with Barack Obama (D-IL), ranked #1, for a few tips?  Of course, Obama's probably too diplomatic to say it, but maybe he'd be thinking that your #67 ranking has something to do with your being a far-right extremist and out of the mainstream?  Perhaps you could sit down to dinner with Sen. Snowe (#3, R-ME) and Sen. Collins (#7, R-ME) and hear what they have to say about being moderate Republicans, instead of constantly pandering to the "religious right?"

Anyway, congratulations on your #67 ranking among U.S. Senators.  Hey, just think, it could have been worse.  You could have been ranked #97 like your political soulmate Rick "Man on Dog" Santorum (R-PA)! :)

What's even scarier ... (K - 7/27/2006 10:31:53 AM)
... is that he outranks a third of the Senate!

Which only goes to prove that "You can fool some of the people all the time, and all of the people some of the time, and Republicans are always fools."

(Yes, I know that's an edit of an adage by a Republican, but that's okay because without question he would loathe what his party has become.)

D vs R (thegools - 7/27/2006 4:02:38 PM)
I find it is interesting that 8 of the top 10 are Democrats and only 3 out of the the bottom 10 are.  Of course, everyone else falls somewhere between.

George Allen is "owned" by the Telecommunication Lobbyists (mosquitopest - 7/27/2006 5:53:46 PM)
Good ole George...number 8 on the top 10 list of telecommunications lobby money...Wonder if this is why he voted against Net Neturality when it was before his powerful commerce committee...George couldn't let Net Neutrality go to the Senate floor for a full vote of the Senate....

This one is going to "haunt" you in November George!!
