Hello Everyone:

Below are the links to as much first hand Virginia news and video coverage of the Jim Webb/George Allen Virginia Senate debate that I could find as of the time of this posting.  The news links I put below come from an Allen supporting Virginia Blog that I regularly monitor so that is why the comments you see are so pro-Allen.

The Webb campaign should have something up on their website soon about this debate:

"Today's debate will be posted in its entirety on www.webbforsenate.com later this weekend."

There is also some discussion going on about this debate on the Democratic Underground:

VA~Seante Race: If Webb can beat George Felix Allen, Jr, does that end ...

I will post more information about this debate as soon as I see it.

An excellent example for all of us to follow and what we all need to be doing to help fight against extreme right wing Neocon smear propaganda which will help our local candidates to win their races!

The First Allen/Webb Debate

I+óGé¼Gäóm sitting in a hotel room at an undisclosed location, so I don+óGé¼Gäót have time for any analysis until later today+óGé¼-ªbut here+óGé¼Gäós a story on the George Allen/James Webb debate from yesterday. There is a link to some video, as well.

Here+óGé¼Gäós the RTD+óGé¼Gäós take (with more video). Frankly, sounds like the event was a bit boring, but it doesn+óGé¼Gäót really matter, because very few voters were able to see the actual debate.

It is often said body language plays a huge role in a person+óGé¼Gäós decision to vote for someone. In looking at the pictures from debate, the last one from RTD shows Webb giving a rather pained look. Jokingly, I can+óGé¼Gäót help but wonder if he was thinking +óGé¼+ôWhat have I done?+óGé¼-¥ or +óGé¼+ôI just pooped myself.+óGé¼-¥ Either way, he doesn+óGé¼Gäót come off being too personable and that could cost him a few more votes.

CC said it sounded as if the event was a bit boring+óGé¼-ª. To be able to watch something historic like that is not boring to this political junkie who got a major fix at the debate. The best part of all was being able to see it in person and not having to rely on what the media reported +óGé¼-ª or didn+óGé¼Gäót report as much of the case has been (see www.rightsideva.blogspot.com for anti-Guantanamo Bay comments from Webb).
