Virginia's Second District gets more competetive everyday. First, polls show us that Phil is neck and neck with Thelma, with some polls showing him ahead! Now, we have even more reason to get interested in this race! Check out the fundraising reports that just came in:
Rep. Thelma Drake (R) raised $205,986.68 with $708,487.74 on hand.
Commissioner of the Revenue Phil Kellam (D) raised $276,645.12 with $517,210 on hand.
This is fantastic news for Kellam. He outraised Thelma by nearly $100,000 and is getting very close to closing in on her.

Now, I know you guys have probably heard enough about Feder, but she had another stellar performance.
Rep. Frank Wolf (R) raised $186,185.98 with $636,089.11 on hand.
Challenger Judy Feder (D) raised $220,163.05 with $461,247.45 on hand.
I'll admit, I had my doubts about this race at first. But I'm starting to believe that Phil may not be the only Democratic cross-over this year. I truly believe that Judy has a shot here. But we need to help her close the gap. Unlike Phil, she doesn't have the benefit of just recently winning re-election unopposed. She needs to help get name recognition out. From what I hear up in the 10th, she's doing a great job already, but every little bit helps.

If Democrats can take back two seats in a red state like Virginia, then our prospects for taking back the House look very good! Let's do our part!
Tom Davis on the other hand has raised about $670,000 from PACs alone this cycle. Extrapolating from statewide data, Bush's approval rating has got to be in the low 30s in the 11th district, and Davis has voted 90% with Bush. We need to get the message out and show some in-state individual donor support for Andy.

He certainly would never be hypocritical about personal attacks.
