Six years later the Bushies are still blaming Clinton . . .

WASHINGTON - The White House belittled former President Clinton's policy of direct engagement with North Korea on Monday, saying efforts to shower North Korean leader Kim Jong Il "with flowers and chocolates" failed.

Tony Snow neglected to mention that the radioactive fuel--which was frozen during the Clinton years--has since disappeared under the Bush's watch.  Some estimates that I've read have said there was enough fuel to build anywhere from 5 to 8 A-bombs.

That is a fantastic picture!!! One of the best I've ever seen!!! And these are the guys who decide our federal R & D funding, stem cell policy, national educational initiatives, etc.? I feel like they've never seen a periodic table before!

Bush is hamstrung (Bubby - 7/11/2006 9:41:13 AM)
And his handlers are simply howling into the ill wind of his own making.  His military have their hands full in Iraq - he can't afford a confrontation with NKorea. NK knows it, the  president knows it.

And he isn't talking about NKorea's abrogation of their non-proliferation treaty signature.  They didn't give notice before they voided their treaty obligations and pulled those nuke rods. That violation was on Bush's watch and now we have  a wacko with ICBMs and nukes.  Heckuva Job Rummy! Doing some top-shelf work their Condi.

It is called "engagement" and it is what competent leaders do with rogue states.  The alternative? Iraq. How's that bit of Policy by Force going?

Hey Mr. Scientists, Can We Get a Banana? (David M - 7/11/2006 5:06:29 PM)
Cannot tell you how much we likes the photo. This is priceless. We should have a caption contest, but then I'm sure RK would run out of bandwidth.

Obviously Bush has to blame Clinton because he's never seen a problem that he couldn't find somebody else to pin it on.

This type of behavior is getting old and the American people are catching on. Go George, have another banana.
