Yesterday was the first meeting of the Southwest Virginia Young Democrats. I think there ended up being 16 people that attended. Everyone seemed to be interested in building the group, working to elect Democrats, and having fun doing both.
Tabitha posted a report about the meeting here. I will link other reports from the meeting as they trickle in.
The next big step will be getting more people involved and growing as an organization. The group dicussed several big projects, all of which should be very helpful to Jim Webb and Congressman Boucher.
If you are interested in getting involved with SWVA Young Democrats, you can find more information here.

Inspiring start! (Bubby - 7/3/2006 9:30:28 AM)
And a nicely diverse group. This could be a great resource for organizing throughout the region.
That banner photo on the web page - the mountains of Virginia. Yeah! Not a single dude ranch. Lets keep it that way.
Thanks Bubby! (Brian - 7/3/2006 9:52:03 AM)
The photo was taken on High Knob, in Wise County.

Thanks Summercat. We are building a great group and will hopefully be able to help Webb and Boucher this year.
