Does anyone want an open thread?

Couple of things...

I was hung over today, and tired.  But I felt great, and I don't think I am alone when I say that I am glad this race is over...

I am humbled and impressed with Harris Miller.  I hope Jim reaches out to Miller's supporters with as much class as Harris did.  Bravissimo, Mr. Miller.

Lots of other news happened, and I didn't comment too much.  I am still letting it all sink in, and I am sleep deprived and spacey.

I publicly declared my support for Ben Tribbet on NLS today, and I gave him my endorsement.  I was flamed by the haters, but these races get a little heated.

Lowell's fame is spreading across the state.

My apartment looks so terrible; there is Webb lit everywhere, stickers all over furniture (could never throw used ones out when I did laundry) and my dog needs depression meds since we have been out "Webbing" for weeks.

Kenton of 750 Volts sent me a pic of me and John Kerry.  NICE.  Thanks, Kenton!

This campaign has a lot of work to do and I am anxious to keep this moving.

So what's up?  How were your celebrations last night?  Victory party stories?  Gossip?

Get it off your chest...

Nothing's up. (Kathy Gerber - 6/15/2006 12:42:11 AM)
Staying up late to make sure no one drops a marijuana cigarette joint in my cocktail drink.

Bahahahahahahahaha! (phriendlyjaime - 6/15/2006 8:16:15 AM)
Good one.

Very Funny Stuff Kathy (Mark - 6/15/2006 11:47:00 AM)
I am still recovering. I didn't go to a party. I did not lose any signs at precinct locations.

I am looking forward to Friday's start of the 'Blummit', as Josh calls it. Everybody remember to bring your Crashing The Gate book to have it autographed by Jerome Armstrong. And Al Weed will be having a reception Friday night, details unknown.

We need a front page Open Thread once in a while IMO.

You know (phriendlyjaime - 6/15/2006 12:00:44 PM)
I just post, don't have my own blog.  But this primary really turned me onto the VA blogosphere, and I would love to have a meet up sometime.

And what Kathy is referring to is some freak from the freepers board-too funny.

Start one! (Lowell - 6/15/2006 12:11:20 PM)

I actually have a great idea for one (phriendlyjaime - 6/15/2006 12:20:00 PM)
Thadd and I would like to do a dueling banjo blog of sorts, with "his and hers" sides, complete with (and this is tough, but we would love it) a live video feed, once a week, focused on politics and the idiotic MSM.  We would also love to do a Dail Show kind of "man and woman" on the streets foused on politics.  Yes, we were theatre majors.  ;)

This idea started mainly bc some of our friends have admitted that watching Thadd and I roll our eyes and yell at Tweety and the rest and tallying votes on the span is some of the funniest stuff they have seen-esp. if there is some wine involved.

So, it's an idea in the works; we'll see.

You Don't Need (Mark - 6/15/2006 1:35:19 PM)
a blog to go to these meetups; Although registration is closed, Waldo said he expected people to beg in at the last minute.

There will be close to a hundred bloggers, politicians, blog posters, etc there. I can't wait.
