Meanwhile, Kilgore is being driven to distraction once again by his nemesis, independent Republican Russ Potts. Also in today's Washington Post, Potts says you spell Kilgore's referendum plan "C-O-W-A-R-D," and taunted Kilgore by revealing his absentee vote for Kilgore's conservative rival George Fitch in the Republican primary. Potts' comments on Lt. Governor candidate Bill "Gutter" Bolling as representing "the most extreme wing of Virginia's Republican Party" are also worth mentioning (Potts voted for Sean Connaughton). More broadly, Potts "urged moderates and Democrats to vote for center-of-the-road Republicans in the party's open primary June 14."
No wonder the Kilgore campaign is forced to resort to ad hominem attacks on Potts ("an angry, bitter, spiteful man") and lies about Kaine (he received $1.5 million from Terry McAuliffe, not from Howard Dean -- as if it matters, anyway!). In other words, the Kilgore people have no intelligent arguments to make, so they resort to name calling and lies, over and over again. Pathetic. Weak. Lame.
How do you spell Jerry Kilgore? L-O-S-E-R.
