A question, a recommended read, and an open thread

I'm out.  I have a late night lit drop followed by a daylight lit drop at a festival tomorrow.  Have a great night, RK!  I am interested to hear if anyone this evening has some great GOTV stories, how phone banking went, what reactions are to the TV appearances and endorsements, et al.

2 other things to ponder...with the influx of legitimate trolls and angry members of our party that have chosen to support "the other guy," I think this and this.  Just some food for thought on fairness and the actual definitions, history, and way to use and deal with the system itself and its ugly little buggers.  :)

There's a little more before you get it off your chest...
Also, and I really hate to open a can of worms here, but I read some interesting developments on some other sites listed on the blogroll.  I was wondering what the real story was, if anyone has an answer.  I hesitate to link anyone's site, as I don't want to create any blogosphere rage, but it's easy to find if you look.  It has to do with endorsements and their recent, ahem, switches from a side to a different side.

So, go for it, RK!  Get it off your chest....

You fuckers. ;) (phriendlyjaime - 6/10/2006 2:29:36 AM)
I wanted SOMETHING after lit drop and the bar...

Hey... (phriendlyjaime - 6/10/2006 10:25:48 AM)
Now I am getting annoyed...

What's all this annoying talk of Webb buying tix for supporters and some ::GASP:: school board members switching to Miller?

I mean, I know, look at the source, but I still would love some answers.

Oh, and despite the fact that the prominent bloggers were thanked by the Webb campaign on Webb's blog, the Miller supporters are claiming that they "called the Webb people" and that "they think we are all crazy."

we've seen this (Josh - 6/10/2006 11:58:11 AM)
It was the same way with the Kaine campaign.  The opposition hates us because we're effective.  In this case the parallels between Miller and Kilgore don't seem to want to let up.  Neither will the results.

It's a matter of public record. (Alice Marshall - 6/10/2006 1:05:57 PM)
It is entirely legitimate for Webb to buy tickets for his supporters as long as he reported it, which he did on page 81 of his FEC form 3, schedule B.

Thanks for your answer. (phriendlyjaime - 6/10/2006 1:11:04 PM)
I still think though, that since it is ok to do so, you should have spent your time writing about Allen, who aid for people to take a free bus to Shad planking and their ticket was paid for, and they got a free T-shirt.

That seems a little more THE POINT of a Democratic supporter, hmmmmmm?

To be fair (Kathy Gerber - 6/11/2006 9:06:07 AM)
Miller supporters probably don't have very much information about shad planking.

8 Tickets??? (Alicia - 6/10/2006 11:12:34 PM)
My conclusion:
Webb paid for his staffers or 7 others (maybe fam?) - OK by me
Miller probably snuck his in for free or made them pay themselves
