"They're sending other people's kids to war," Webb says. "They're allowing other people's kids to suffer from bad schools, outsourced jobs, crime-ridden neighborhoods, deflated futures, no health insurance. They've lost sight of why they should be in government in the first place."
In Today's WaPo, Robert Barnes has written a profile outlining Webb's background. While Barnes does point out some of Webb's history that Miller would like to emphasize (even quoting retired Army Lt. Gen. Claudia Kennedy), on the whole Barnes does a good job of getting Webb's points and strengths across. Webb really comes across as his own man.
Not a puff piece but good for Webb overall.
One has to be a FIGHTER to go up against Allen, and Jim has what it takes, we all think so. He will be a great Senator.
