Dear Friends,With your help -- It stops in Virginia!
Multi-million dollar smear campaigns. Attacking a candidate?s family.
Questioning patriotism ? like they did with Senator Max Cleland, who lost three limbs defending our country.
These are the patterns of Republican campaigns these days. You might think it?s politics as usual, but it?s not. It?s different ? they?ve made it intensely personal.
Now, the very same political operatives responsible for the attacks in South Dakota last year and Max Cleland?s loss in 2002 are ?on the ground? in Virginia making personal attacks against Tim Kaine, the Democratic nominee for Governor in Virginia this November. These people are dangerous and must be stopped.
We can?t let this continue. Republican candidates who employ these kinds of tactics must be held accountable. No one deserves this kind of treatment, especially not Tim Kaine.
Tim Kaine is Virginia?s Lieutenant Governor and former Mayor of Richmond. He is a former Christian missionary, a well-recognized attorney and business leader and a dedicated husband and father. Working together with Governor Mark Warner, Tim has positioned Virginia as a vibrant, pro-business state. Governing magazine recently named Virginia the best managed state in America.
But read just a few of the dishonest attacks on Tim made by Republican Jerry Kilgore and his political operatives:
* Kaine and his supporters ?are the enemies of faith, family and freedom.?
* Kaine wants to ?take away your rights to worship freely.?
* Kaine never expressed his faith ?until it was politically popular to do so.?Wow - when you attack a Christian missionary for being an ?enemy of faith,? you really shatter the truth. But, I know this group, and they will stop at nothing to win the race. I urge you to stop them. Click here and support Tim Kaine. Tim knows what he has to do ? start early and fight back.
Please click here to take a stand against dishonest attacks that masquerade as politics. This team of operatives wins races through character assassination ? this is not how democracy is supposed to work!
With your help today . . . It Stops in Virginia!
