As many Americans head to the Polls today and next super Tuesday 13 June, what's most on the voter's minds is definitely not the definition of marriage.  It is Iraq, stupid! The other big issue for me and the poll below is inflation, and how the stock market is on a bumpy ride.  The stock market is tied to energy, and energy is tied to instability in the Gulf, and that is tied to Iraq.  So where does defining marriage fit in, well, it is a good conservative base religious topic to be sure. Is it a waste of time for the Congress to be setting aside an entire week debating, yep! Can the States handle the definition of marriage, yep. Isn't that what Republicans take pride in, keeping BIG Government out of our business, yep. And that is what Jim Webb has been saying all along.  He saw a Republican party that was running a-muck and instead of being an Independent, he became a Democrat.  Just think if he became an Independent, how many people would be voting for him and how it would NOT benefit the Democratic Party at all.  The Democratic Party is welcoming all Republicans who wish to support Jim Webb, so come on board, and VOTE JUNE 13th, the Next Super Tuesday Event to begin take back the Senate and the House. kc

Taken from a Byron York posting at the National Review's The Corner, where they're also marvelling at their party's total disconnect with the concerns of the vast majority of Americans.

Keep in mind, Gallup allowed respondents to offer two top concerns, and even then the "moral values" category couldn't crack one percent.
