Jim Webb's Mailer

Jim Webb's first major mailing, which is going out this weekend, is available here (click on image to enlarge).
Notice how POSITIVE it is?
Notice how NEGATIVE Miller's is?
That pretty much sums up this race, wouldn't you say? Fortunately, on June 13, voters are going to overwhelmingly reject Miller's slimeball tactics in favor or Webb's leadership, courage and integrity.

Superb mailer! (phriendlyjaime - 6/2/2006 6:48:55 PM)
I adore it!
I like the cartoon (TurnVirginiaBlue - 6/2/2006 6:50:12 PM)
:)
This is very well done and keeps Webb boots from being splattered with Miller's mud.
Nice job.
But, I still like the cartoon.
You are hilarious! :) (phriendlyjaime - 6/2/2006 6:51:40 PM)
The cartoon (Ingrid - 6/2/2006 7:59:55 PM)
I shared the cartoon with a large number of people today and asked them for their opinion. I have yet to encounter someone who did not like it. So, TVB, I agree with you.
Going out this weekend? (Teddy - 6/2/2006 7:07:05 PM)
At last, at last! Wow! It's beautiful and even hits back nicely at Miller, without any of the snide negativism of Miller's junk mail. Now here's hoping the post office doesn't screw it up...
I got yet another expensive multi-color slick paper job from Miller today, this one targeted toward women. If all of these are going out all across the state Miller is dumping literally hundreds of thousands of dollars into mailers alone, if you include the cost of designing it, the mailing list, paper, printing, and postage. Is Webb's mailout an all-state Dem voter list mailout? Or what?
Not sure...BUT (phriendlyjaime - 6/2/2006 7:11:53 PM)
I love that Harris is spending all of his "hard earned" cash.
HOW SWEET IT IS!!!!!!!!
But, yes, yes; I must remind everyone that we should try to pretend we are behind and that we are losing, bc our phone calls, LTEs, and GOTV efforts are still desparately needed for voter contact. I will say-it is amazing how little the Miller mailers have done. I never leave phonebanking discouraged, and I don't think you will either. :)
Go Webb, go!
Webb's mailing (Ingrid - 6/2/2006 7:27:53 PM)
is state-wide. Nice piece!
Just what the doctor ordered nt (Josh - 6/2/2006 7:10:00 PM)
This is outstanding. (DemTilDeath - 6/2/2006 7:41:46 PM)
I am very impressed. Webb's campaign doesn't need to waste any money sending it to me 'cause I'm already sold on him, but I'll be glad to get it anyway.
I agree. (thegools - 6/2/2006 9:05:49 PM)
Save the postage on me and send the mailer somewhere else. I am already on team Webb.
Webb mailer does not load properly on my Mac (teacherken - 6/2/2006 7:49:11 PM)
tried it on both explorer and safari I get very incomplete stuff wonder what gives?
oh, Miller piece comes up cleanly... and I did NOT receive his piece today.
It's macromedia flash. (loboforestal - 6/2/2006 7:54:39 PM)
I dont think Macromedia support Safari.
If you load Macromeida flash for Firefox or Mozilla it should work.
I can see flash videos w/o too much problem (teacherken - 6/2/2006 8:01:22 PM)
and remember, I tried it in explorer as well
I will try on my G-4 desktop
Seriously, try firefox. (loboforestal - 6/2/2006 8:05:56 PM)
Having many browsers is a good thing.
You can still surf while you upgrade the other browser.
i can read it in firefox (teacherken - 6/2/2006 8:44:45 PM)
not bad only wish it had been out a bit earlier -- of course, then they would not have had McEachin in it, and that was important to be included.
2 Thumbs up... (Loudoun County Dem - 6/2/2006 7:51:07 PM)
Elegant, Powerful, Compelling...
RE: Mailer (JPTERP - 6/2/2006 8:20:22 PM)
Looks great, covers the bases--it represents Webb well.
Really Displays His Military Experience (Ambivalent Mumblings - 6/3/2006 12:41:10 AM)
I believe the direct mailing proves that Jim Webb has the background that is necessary in order to assist in making the military decisions Senators make on a consistent basis. This experience is best illustrated in a quote from Owen Pickett.
“As a former Secretary of the Navy, Jim Webb is the only Senate candidate in Virginia who has an intimate understanding of challenges facing our Navy, Virginia’s ship yards and their workers.â€
I agree with John Kerry’s statement that we need leaders that have spent time in the military in order to help get us out of the War in Iraq and the pamphlet does a fine job of focusing on that aspect of Jim’s public life. For those of you that might be interested in reading what some of Miller’s supporter’s have to say about the pamphlet you can go to
GOTV
What can I say? (Nichole - 6/3/2006 8:58:02 AM)
It's outstanding.
