Virginia Commonwealth University LOVES Governor Kaine!

Because he is making sure we get paid. Here is a portion of an email I rec'd at work today...
To VCU Faculty and Staff:
On Friday, Governor Kaine announced that the pay date scheduled
for July 3 has been moved to June 30 because of the absence of a
legislative agreement on the new, two-year state budget, which begins
July 1, 2006.
This action will result in an additional payroll being charged to
the current fiscal year, which ends June 30, 2006. The Governor
will provide state agencies and higher education institutions with
spending authorization for the additional payroll.
Ah, Democrats! Better for VA, and better for the country.

It can't get any worse then that semester I believe it was spring 2002 when we were told that the school dues to cost cutting was not going to be allowed to hand out anything by paper, and you'd have to print it all yourself, and that dues to more cost cutting, more classes would be taught by Grad Students. I was not a happy camper. And then they were saying this while we were spending 300 million dollars on shiny new buildings that wouldn't be finished til right as I was about to leave...HARRUMPH I SAID!!!
