George Allen Makes NBC, But Not in a Good Way

Ole George Allen made NBC Nightly News tonight, but not in a good way.  Lisa Myers used him as a poster boy for using corporate jets to fly about the county on political business. NBC's Doug Pasternak and Lisa Myers researched Congressional trips on private jets and found George Allen took 39 such trips in approximately two years. 

+óGé¼+ôAll I got to say,+óGé¼-¥ he told NBC News, +óGé¼+ôis the reason I do it is I have a very busy schedule and need to get to a lot of different places.+óGé¼-¥
But concerning one flight in question, there were other commerical flights which would have gotten him to his engagements, the reporters revealed.  Allen wasn't the worst case for these flights of fancy (Delay Frist and others did it far more).

However, it gives the appearance that George Allen is brewing more than just practice sessions of his speeches as he flies with corporate big-wigs.  It isn't illegal (should be), but it smells.
