UPDATE 8:17AM: Conservative 2008 Presidential hopeful Sen. George Allen (R-VA) just made the following comments on FOX in response to the White House announcement [of Faux News hack Tony Snow as the new White House press secretary]:

"I think it's a great choice. The best thing that Tony's going to do is bring the pulse of the American people into the White House in those deliberations. People like Laura Ingram, and Tony, and Hannity and, uh, Rush Limbaugh, they understand what's going on in the world, and I think that's going to be very helpful for the White House as they develop policy to move this country forward. So I congratulate Tony. Great choice by the President, and I think it will be good for the American people, too, to have one of their advocates clearly in the White House having the pulse of the people in the real world.

Too Conservative for Virginia (Josh - 4/26/2006 11:15:11 AM)
Allen makes Bush look liberal and smart.
Conservatism is the death of the American Dream.

Oh, jeez. (phriendlyjaime - 4/26/2006 11:26:51 AM)

Too stoopid... (Info_Tech_Guy - 4/26/2006 1:24:04 PM)
It isn't just a matter of differing political beliefs -- i.e, being "conservative". These people are fanatics.

Paul Craig Roberts, a man occasionally called conservative, a former Reagan era cabinet official calls these Hannity/Limbaugh people "brownshirts". I agree. They don't want to discuss or debate. They want to shout people down and even use violence to suppress opposing views.

Perhaps that's why Roberts publishes at Counterpunch now. He wants no part of this modern "neo-con" (fraud).

The Anne Coulters and Rush Limbaugh's of this world disgust me... Anyone who admires them is not reasonable...

Wow (KCinDC - 4/26/2006 11:20:24 PM)
The Daily Show just used the clip of Allen saying that as its Moment of Zen.
