A little blog round-up:
--Howling Latina notices AFL-CIO's anti-Miller letter, but doesn't notice that Raising Kaine broke the news (letter was first published at Modern Patriot).
--Harris Miller has got the blog thing down, with the latest post describing George Allen's troubles. (James Webb's blog is up, but needs some content!)
--Southwest Distress gives an analysis of the 9th District race.
--Delta Mike digs up some muck in the Middle Peninsula.
And this is an open thread. What's going on in your neck of the woods?

Why does Webb need a blog? (Josh - 4/17/2006 11:10:35 AM)
between RK and draftjameswebb.com, we've pretty much got it covered. The Miller blogger is pretty good. I wonder if he's the same John who blogged for Tim Kaine.
Anyway, maybe he can take over with Webb after the primary.;)
Maybe you're right! (Rob - 4/17/2006 11:41:29 AM)
Though an "official blog" has it's own usefulness! I assume that Webb will be able to recruit volunteer researchers that can dig into Allen's votes much more effectively (with more tools) than the unofficial bloggers.
Miller's blog is also helpful for Webb if it stays on Allen (which the title of the blog suggests).
Josh doesn't <3 us... (The Ditzy Democrats - 4/17/2006 11:43:59 AM)
Either that or Lowell, he is jealous. Kristen and I are in near tears over the fact that you all don't link to us on your blog roll.

Ditzes Added (Eric - 4/17/2006 12:11:30 PM)
Not sure if they want to be Ditzy Democrats or Monstrosity, so for now it's Ditzy. Make some noise if you want some other title...
Eh... (The Ditzy Democrats - 4/17/2006 2:49:32 PM)
Put us up as Monstrosity. Thanks, Eric

I thought Modern Patriot broke the AFL-CIO thing (JC - 4/17/2006 11:50:40 AM)
I believe that RK acknowledged that fact in it's own post.
It was first published there, news broke here... (Rob - 4/17/2006 12:03:45 PM)
but I'll clarify.
Yes, I clearly gave credit to Modern Patriot (Lowell - 4/17/2006 2:02:37 PM)

So... (phriendlyjaime - 4/17/2006 12:45:08 PM)
Has Miller had any big endorsements? I have to say, with the power, prestige, and sheer amount of Webb's endorsements, I (and I mean this as democratically as possible) have to ask...why do we have to have a primary? Webb is so obviously the way to go.
Jim Moran for one. (Rob - 4/17/2006 12:48:47 PM)
I'd like to see Jim Moran change his mind (Josh - 4/17/2006 1:20:33 PM)
I don't think Moran really questioned Miller on his Iraq War position. I've heard where both men stand and they couldn't be farther apart.
Whenever you get a chance to sound out Moran on issues, ask him about Miller's Iraq War position. I wouldn't be surprised if he could be encouraged to switch for Webb.
Moran and Miller (Rebecca - 4/17/2006 4:19:41 PM)
Lowell and I ran into Moran at the Murky Coffee last week after he (Moran) had finished making a speech upstairs. Moran seemed shocked and surprised to learn some of Miller's stands on the issues. He thanked us for educating him and asked his assistant to give him a fact sheet comparing Webb's positions and Miller's. He also asked him to set up a meeting between himself and Webb. That was last week and I am tracking this to find out when the meeting has occurred. Lowell probably knows more than I do. I told Moran that Webb is "The Real Deal". I hope he takes it to heart.

A video about the dangers of rock 'n roll, called Hell's Bells. With a nice promo by . . . . Mr. Green:
"I have seen first hand the importance of positive role models for young people. I heartily endorse Hell's Bells because it not only exposes the rebellious and often bizarre lifesyyles of many of today's idols, but contrasts them against the true model - Jesus Christ."

the kind of scrutiny his past activities will be under if he runs.

Iraq War support withering (PM - 4/17/2006 1:39:48 PM)
From Editor & Publisher
NEW YORK A report on a new Gallup poll released today shows that President Bush approval rating on his handling of Iraq is now at 32% -- tied for the lowest rating Gallup has measured.
The survey, taken April 7-9, also shows that 57% of Americans think the United States will not win in Iraq.
In a surprise, the new poll found that 44% of Republicans now back withdrawing some or all troops from Iraq. The number for all Americans, 64%, is higher, but the fact that better than 4 in 10 Republicans back this idea is notable. Indepedents are tracking much closer to Democrats on all issues related to Iraq.
In another finding, 57% of Americans say it was a mistake to send troops to Iraq, while 42% say it was not. Since December 2005, either a plurality or majority of Americans have said it was a mistake.
