Isn't this just lovely:

Students at the University of the Cumberlands have some strong opinions after the school expelled a gay student.

News of Jason Johnson getting expelled from the University of the Cumberlands late last week has spread fast throughout the state, the nation, and even the world.

The school's students are forming strong opinions.

"The student body would rather keep homosexual students here than send them out and make them feel that even," Ashley Honnold said.

An openly gay Kentucky State Senator is joining in the outrage.

The state budget is forking over over ten million to the school for a new pharmacy program.

The university has said Johnson's web postings showing he was gay did not go along with the school's conduct policy.

Brad Bell doesn't agree with Johnson's sexuality, but feels he shouldn't have been expelled.

He says it's a difficult time for the school.

Senator Ernesto Scorsone says if the university doesn't change it's ways it could face legal trouble.

The student expelled, Jason Johnson, has been advised by his attorney not to talk and today the university would not comment any further.
