Former Tom DeLay deputy chief of staff Tony C. Rudy just pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges "in a widening investigation into lobbying fraud and influence-peddling." I just thought I'd point out that Rudy, a member of "Team Abramoff," gave $500 to Rep. Eric Cantor (R-7) on May 6, 2003 and $1,000 to Sen. George "California Cowboy" Allen (R-VA but wishes it were Iowa) on April 26, 2005.
According to VPAP, Rudy also gave $1,000 to Virginia State Senator Ken Cuccinelli (R-37) and $1,050 to Virginia Delegate Jeff Frederick (R-52). No sign of any Rudy gifts to Virginia Democrats. Fascinating.
