About the Candidates:
David Englin (right) is a 12 year Air Force Veteran who ran as a new comer in a crowded Democratic Primary for the House of Delegates. Running on his deeply progressive values and a well organized grassroots? supports network, David was able to win a convincing victory despite being outspend by his competitors by an 8-1 margin. Once in the General Assembly, he fought for his values and made an impassioned speech against the Virginia Anti-Gay Amendment that brought national attention. (See the speech here).
Chap Peterson (left) is a former member of the House of Delegates and a failed candidate for Lieutenant Governor in 2005. In the 2001 election (a year considered disastrous for Virginia Democrats), Chap beat an entrenched GOP incumbent and then beat him again in a re-match in 2003. While have a moderate voting record in the House of Delegates, he still fought for Education, Healthcare, and Economic Development.

I think Connolly will be the first to come out in support...followed by Marsden...and Kaine's Chief of Staff.
