Let this be a lesson to state Republicans. If you recall, LeBlanc's nomination to be in Kaine's cabinet was stricken by parliamentary subterfuge in the General Assembly, the first appointment shot down in 30-odd years for vague reasons of LeBlanc's positions on labor issues. After spending all that energy shooting down LeBlanc, Virginia Republicans, satisfied with their petty success, moved on.
I am still thoroughly baffled--why would Virginia Republicans waste their time on such a procedural matter? Why would they make themselves look like petty fools?
Tim Kaine, however, wouldn't give up. Tim Kaine gave LeBlanc a job anyway. Virginia Republicans ended up with good oxygen wasted and nothing to show for it.
Take that.
PS I've enjoyed your blog too, TC, even if I don't agree with half of it (or more). Unlike many bloggers, you have something to say, and you say it well. Keep on bloggin'!
I wont be slowing down, don't worry about that.
Keep up the good stuff over here at RK.
Childish partisanship will alienate voters from the Republican House. Virginians don't appreciate spoiled, churls.
