Don't Let Republicans Hide Behind the Troops

Democrats are the only ones standing up for the troops and that's why so many veterans are now running for office as Democrats.  That's why so many current members of congress are both veterans and Democrats.

The next time you hear someone say that Democrats are not supporting the troops, you tell 'em Democrats are the only ones trying to get the troops out of the mess created by an arrogant and incompetent Republican administration.  We're the only ones trying to stop the cuts in their pay and benefits and we're the only ones trying to restore the policies that keep us out of debt and out of wars.  Don't let Republicans hide behind the troops.

They say Democrats have no clear message, no ideas
Republicans are like a bad parent who serves candy for every meal and violent TV to pacify their children while Democrats offer vegetables and reading books.  Governing with "Tax Cuts" and "War" make good sound bites and good TV but it's rotting our Democracy.

Democrats have a longer list.  It takes a little more effort to hear the message.  Democrats have been and still are fighting for balanced budgets, energy independence, a sustainable environment, diplomatic foreign policy, civil rights, living wages, ethical trade, ethical government, better education, universal health care and defense spending that takes better care of the troops than corporate contractors.  These are the core values of Democrats.  These are the values and policies that keep us out of debt and out of wars.  It's time to stop the digging and put this country back on track but it's going to take a little more effort from everyone.

Balanced Budgets
Democrats balance budgets because it's the only ethical way to invest in our children's future.  It doesn't make any sense to borrow money from our children and claim we're investing in their future.  Deficit spending is nothing more than paying off cronies and political supporters with money we don't have.  They expect our children to pay the bill somewhere in the future.  It's criminal and immoral.  It's crooked and corrupt.  It is arrogant and incompetent to spend our children's money.

Democratic presidents like Andrew Jackson and Bill Clinton are the only presidents who ever balanced the Federal budget.  Franklin Roosevelt lead us out of the Great Depression created  by three consecutive Republican administrations.  Democratic governors like Mark Warner and Howard Dean have taken on massive financial debt and turned their states around by balancing their budgets.  Democrats take on these great challenges and succeed because it's not about what each of us can get out of it.  It's about securing a better future for our children.

Dubai Ports Deal
Any transfer of operations at any port should be investigated.  Even if it's a transfer of garbage pick up between two American companies, the new company should be investigated.  This Dubai deal makes no sense at all.  If they think this didn't warrant investigating, what else are they missing?
