It gets even better, because Rev. Robertson also believes that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg "consorts" with communists. And that "out-of-control federal judges are the most serious threat to America?s survival in its history ? more dangerous even than Islamic terrorism, Nazi Germany and the Civil War." And that he would not appoint Muslims to serve as judges because "in the Koran there's a war against all the infidels." (what next, is Pat Robertson going to start blogging with Virginia Republican "Pastor John" about the evil "demons," "homosexuals," "liberals" and "masons" that are tormenting him?)
This is no joke. I kid you not. Yesterday, on ABC's "This Week," Rev. Robertson -- the guy who commented that "God Almighty does not hear the prayer of a Jew" and that Jerry Falwell was right when he blamed "feminists...gays and lesbians" for helping make 9/11 happen -- actually said all of these things. For real! Is it a coincidence that this guy is a big Jerry Kilgore supporter? I think not.
So, what does Jerry Kilgore have to say about his anti-Muslim buddy, Pat Robertson, now? Does "conservative" Kilgore distance himself from his good friend and supporter for supporting a pro-abortion, pro-gay-rights, liberal former Mayor of New York City for President in 2008? Does Kilgore condemn Rev. Robertson's anti-Muslim bigotry? Does he disavow Robertson's comments about federal judges being worse than Nazi Germany? Does he tell Pat Robertson to take his campaign contributions and shove them?
Does hell have a chance of freezing over anytime soon?
