Bush Plan Would Raise Deficit by $1.2 Trillion, Budget Office Says
Wonderful. Now, a bit of explanation:
WASHINGTON, March 3 ? President Bush's budget would increase the federal deficit by $35 billion this year and by more than $1.2 trillion over the next decade, the Congressional Budget Office reported on Friday. The nonpartisan budget office said that Mr. Bush's tax-cutting proposals would cost about $1.7 trillion over the next 10 years and that his proposals to partly privatize Social Security would cost about $312 billion during that period.
Ah, Bush-o-nomics at work. In fairness, you can't blame only Bush, when it's clearly the REPUBLICAN Congress that's at fault here for a budget deficit spiraling out of control. Next time you vote, just remember this: REPUBLICANS are the fiscally irresponsible party, despite all claims to the contrary. DEMOCRATS are the fiscally responsible party, as the Clinton Administration demonstrated during the 1990s. Side question: where's Ross Perot when you need him to rail against another Bush destroying our country?
