Kenton Ngo, Aimee Fausser and Johnny Camacho have launched a new SoapBlox blog, and it looks like it could be a good one - "progressive punch for the Old Dominion" as the tag line promises. I also love the quote at the top, "Old Virginny is dead." That's right, Jeff Frederick et al, you're going to have to adapt to a completely different Commonwealth than Virginia was just a few years ago, or you're going to be road kill. It's your choice: stay hard-core, emphasize divisive "wedge issues" that only your base cares about, continue to alienate the fastest growing demographics and regions of Virginia, and see how that works out for ya! :) Alternatively, you could choose another path, return your party to its roots as a reasonable, fiscally responsible, Teddy Roosevelt Progressive party (heck, even Richard Nixon started the EPA!). On second thought...nah, don't do that, we Democrats are having too much fun right now!
Oh, and while you're at it, continue to cede the "new media," aka the blogosphere, to the "Blue Team," just as you've done the past four years. Personally, I can't wait to see Kenton et al. continue to rack up the victories (Kaine 2005, Webb 2006, State Senate 2007, Obama/Perriello/Nye/Connolly 2008...). Man, is it great to be a "New Dominion" Democrat these days or what?!? :)
