You know, that Obama guy's pretty good... (cycle12 - 11/15/2008 5:26:43 PM)
I believe that he - and we - have a bright future ahead of us.

Thanks!

Steve

What do you call the high-tech version of a fireside chat?

That's all very well (Teddy - 11/16/2008 12:32:43 AM)
but it's unfortunate that we can't install Mr. Obama immediately, as a parliamentary system would do. I really do not want W running the economic summit; he's already said he wants to be sure that the "free market" is preserved, i.e., stay the course, paper it over, make no substantive changes. Bush intends to leave Obama with a fait accompli on both the economy and in Iraq (where he's pushing a new SOFA or Status of Forces) to lock in continued occupation. I mistrust Bush.  No telling what ugly damage he will perpetrate between now and 20 January. This is the very time when we can manage some real reform in economic policy, if Bush can only be restrained from messing it up.

It's great Obama is keeping a high profile and, hopefully, by doing so make it clear he intends to keep campaign promises and also warn Bush that the incoming President wants things his way.
