So much for 'what does a community organizer do'...

I have been watching the Barack Obama slide show on flickr and marveling at the sheer number, scope and 'rainbow' of people who were involved in his campaign.  It reminds me of the sneering snide remark made by Palin paraphrased, "just what does a community organizer do". I believe Mrs. Palin has her answer.  President Elect Obama brought many people to vote for the first time.  He woke many people up to the power of organizing for a cause.  I hope that many of the newly woken up stay awake.  The job's only just begun, since we still need to ensure Obama's campaign promises are not stuck in a Senate filibuster.
