This was the scene Tuesday night at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner Hotel as Gov. Kaine announced that Barack Obama had carried Virginia and would be the next president of the United States. So awesome!

It has been 3 days, but I still cried when I watched the video! The joy of electing Obama President of the United States hasn't worn off. I was so proud to see Doris Crouse Mayes, the Secretary Treasurer of the Virginia AFL-CIO up on stage with Governor Tim Kaine. She was our General in getting our diverse unions across Virginia working together for a common cause---elect Obama! As union members, we worked so hard to get out our Virginia union members to vote for the issues important to working families. Our members voted for change!!!
