Thelma FINALLY Concedes

The Virginian Pilot is reporting that Drake has finally conceded the race against Glenn Nye in the 2nd District.
According to the Pilot, Nye got about 4,000 more of the 27,000 or so absentee ballots than Drake did.
Even though the rest of the world knew this race was over about 48 hours ago, Thelma has finally caught up with the rest of us and done the right thing. I'm only slightly disappointed that we won't be treated to the sight of Drake being dragged out of her office by the Capitol Police on the evening news.
And now I hope that I shall never have to type her name again.
Congratulations, Glenn Nye!

going to congress, we now have a majority Democratic congressional delegation going to Washington. 6 Dems to 5 GOP. Of course we also now have 2 Dems Senators than 2 GOPs.

Now we have a few state offices to clean out next year and get back the GA so we can get some work done.... just think of all the unfair process and procedure the Repugs have put into Richmond to tie the hands of our "Electeds" and further their own absolute partisan control.... time for a "house" cleaning.... House of Delegates that is.....

As a political novice, you had such a hill to climb, and climb it you did. I'm really proud that the voters responded to your decency, intelligence, and authenticity. You are a great fit for the 2nd District, and I know you'll do a terrific job in Congress.
