We're in "now or never" territory, folks.  If you were planning on doing some volunteering or voting early or emailing friends and family, no more procrastinating.  For the home stretch, I'll post a daily open thread where you all can discuss ideas and suggestions for last-week action, with some pointers from me as well.  As always, the "Obama Central" graphic here and on the side bar links to Obama's Virginia volunteer page.

First, can you take the day off from work on election day to GOTV?  If so, here's a link to let the campaign know if you can work for change on election day!

This is the last day of the last weekend before election day, so just do something! Check out the jump for links to possible action items, or just head to your closest campaign office-- they'll put you to work!

Okay, the open thread is open for all volunteering and voting related discussion!  Previous open threads linked on the flip....

WTF!!! (Dan - 11/2/2008 12:46:23 PM)
What the "heck" is with Meet the Press?  They say McCain is leading in Ohio and Missouri and North Carolina?  They say Florida is 2 points for Obama?  They use Mason-Dixon instead of the average of all the major battleground polls.  Rasmussen claims Pennsylvania is 4 points for Obama down from 13 points.  Do you think the media is trying to keep it interesting?  This should be a blow out.

One last thing that got me thinking.  The children who were ages 14 to 17 in November 2004 are now eligible to vote.  Sure, not all will vote as is the norm.  However, this group is less racist, more liberal, and more excited by the rock star nature of Obama than the old man McCain.  Many in this group use cell phones instead of land-lines.  They rebel against their parents conservatism.  They are drowning out the voters that Rep. Murtha talked about as being uncomfortable with change and a bit racist.  I have talked a few of them who say their parents are conservatives and are mad that they are voting for Obama.

So, this race may be tightening, but the media likes to pretend it is tightening by way more than it is.
